I've watched several hours of Django guides, and built one project using Django's framework to get a feel for it:

NOTE TAKING TO SELF:

CONFIGURING BOILERPLATE DJANGO

  1. pipenv install django
  2. pipenv shell
  3. django-admin startproject .
  4. cd
  5. django-admin startapp
  6. cd ..
  7. python manage.py runserver
  8. control-c to exit
  9. python manage.py migrate — to initialize and migrate all of the default tables using embedded SQL
  10. make a new class model in the models.py file of
  11. add to settings.py
  12. python manage.py showmigrations
  13. python manage.py makemigrations
  14. python manage.py migrate
  15. python manage.py createsuperuser — for /admin interface
  16. pipenv install djangorestframework
